Lincoln Street in West Wash Park was in a state of urban decay. The city had proposed some additional measures to increase bus routes which sparked my neighbors and I to protest their suggestions. We studied Jeff Speck’s “Walkable City Rules”, Met with City Council Members, Partnered with WalkDenver and the West Wash Park Neighborhood Association to further our cause. We proposed many measures and ideas to improve the street’s safety, walk-ability, beauty, and increase transit rides. I put together the documents that we presented to the various agencies in partnership with my neighbor, amanda roberts. many street studies and diagrams were created to convey the issues we saw with the street.
